Adams & Martin Group has an immediate opening for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our law firm client's Criminal Defense legal team. The ideal candidate will, among other duties as assigned, organize and maintain law libraries, documents and case files, schedule appointments, answer phones, make photocopies, draft and type office memos, mail, fax, or arrange for delivery of legal correspondence to clients, witnesses and court officials. Assist attorneys in collecting employment, medical and other records. Prepare and process legal documents and papers; summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions and pretrial agreements. Excellent communication, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, participation in on-going learning and development and demonstration of initiative are essential in this role. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one - five years of related experience.
Job Type: Full-time; this position is available on a temporary/contract or direct hire/permanent basis
Pay: $20 - $24 per hour
